Therapists

ALEX BOTTOMLEY (MAR) // REFLEXOLOGIST
Alex is a fully qualified Reflexologist and owner of Moksha Therapies. A graduate of the London School of Reflexology and a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). Whilst previously working in television production, Alex became aware of the mental and physical impact that hectic and stressful industries can have on the mind, body and spirit. Having always had a curiosity in complementary health and a desire to help people,  Alex decided to leave the screens and retrain in reflexology. Taking an intuitive approach, Alex recognises your individual needs and creates a bespoke treatment that will nurture and enhance your health and well being.

Although only ever having reflexology once before, it was a large part of Alex's life. Her first experience was at the age of 15, receiving it at a hospice very soon after her father passed away. Whilst going through such a difficult time, the treatment managed to transport her to a place of deep relaxation, a place to slow down and switch off from her worries and fears. It is for this reason that Alex trained in reflexology. She has created a safe, still, healing space to share with others.

Her beliefs lie firmly in that the body has the ability to heal itself and bring balance when given the tools to do so. . Sam also has experience working as a Natural Remedies Advisor, recommending supplements as well as nutrition and non-toxic skincare advice.

Her journey to becoming a therapist started with her own health issues throughout her twenties. She had multiple digestive issues, acne, depression, insomnia, adrenal burn out and finally it was uveitis (extremely painful inflammation of the eyes and monthly trips to A+E) that triggered to take control of her health. Sam decided to start researching into what could be the root causes and healing using natural remedies. Factors such as stressful relationships, a diet high in sugar, bread, dairy and caffeine with a job that was in no way fulfilling, were all beginning take their toll. Moving to Australia allowed her to discover a super healthy lifestyle and realise that her love for food could connect with healing. Immersed in a naturally beautiful environment and meeting inspiring new people was a turning point. Sam came back to London energised and motivated to study nutrition and help others change their lives!
